Opened one on NYE at midnight - while I can't say I'm chomping at the bit to open another, it was a nice sipper. You're right - a wee bit of time in the basement would do this brew good.

The New Seasons on divison in SE also carried it. Everyone enjoyed it, but it still took 4-5 of us to finish the bottle of 2009, and was a pretty punishing way to start Thanksgiving. Coming from Chicago it was shocking to have a Goose Island beer that wasn't terrible.

I was a much bigger fan of the 08 version than the 09. Bourbon barrel aged is great, but the 09 almost tastes like they blended Bourbon into it. The 09 also now comes in a 22oz bottle, which at 13%+ ABV is way more than one or two people can drink in one sitting and enjoy. In addition to the increased bottle size, you have a huge increase in price of the beer. ($5.99 for a 12oz vs $11.99 for the 22.)

If you are over on the west side / hillsboro area, the Orenco New Season's has had this, and usually carry a great variety of beer as well.
