Fermented Photo: Pappy's Dark from Block 15 Brewing

From Block15.com: "Brewed with six malts of Belgian & British origin. Bourbon in color with a very complex and interesting malt profile. Matured in 9 & 10 year old bourbon barrels for 2-4 months. Bright aromas of bourbon, fresh baked bread, caramel, and oak. Velvety texture, rich malt and bourbon flavours with an enticingly warm bourbon finish. 10% alc/vol, 40 IBU’s."
Yesterday, we were treated to four stellar beers at the Hop & Vine from Block 15 Brewing: Pappy's Dark Ale (10% ABV, 40 IBUs), Super Nebula Imperial Stout (10% ABV, 58 IBUs), Six Hop Wonder Imperial IPA(10% ABV), and Simple Session Pale Ale (4.1% ABV, 25 IBUs). Owner Nick Arzner brought a few cases of Pappy's Dark that sold out quickly, even with a one bottle per person limit. I stayed on the dark side for my afternoon romp of 10% beers, enjoying a glass of Pappy's Dark and Super Nebula, a beer I've been waiting almost a year to try.
Thanks to Block 15 and Hop and Vine for yesterday's event!
