Brewpublic Presents Oregon Farmhouse Brewers Night at The BeerMongers
Join Upright Brewing, Beetje Brewing, and Logsdon Organic Farmhouse Ales at The BeerMongers on Friday July 22 for a special evening Belgian and French Inspired Beers.
Upright Brewing's Alex Ganum and Gerritt Ill will be pouring a special keg of their Alphaphylactic Hop, a piquant, floral, and bold hybrid ale brewed with their house Illganumberg yeast strain and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Apollo hops. Upright's inventive approach to the craft pulls from a wide range of French and Belgian inspiration, using locally sourced ingredients, and pays homage to Charles Mingus' creative spirit.
Beetje Brewery's Michael Wright will provide a keg of his Urban Farmhouse Ale, a light, crisp and refreshing light orange colored brew with a floral nose and a dry finish, and brewed with Organic Pilsner, Organic 2-row and Rye malts. Beetje and Upright will also feature a one-of-a-kind collaborative blend featuring Wright's Flemish Kiss, a decidedly a Northwest pale ale with a dose of Brettanomyces Bruxellensis married with a portion of yet to be decided brew from Ganum and Ill's cellars.
Logsdon Organic Farmhouse Ale's Charles Porter and pioneer brewer David Logsdon will provide two renditions of signature brews - a Seizoen and Seizoen Bretta (with Brettanomyces) brought from their authentic rustic farmhouse in Hood River. Brewed in small batches on a traditional farm brewery as it has historically been made for hundreds of years. This unfiltered seizoen features complex fruity and spicy flavors balanced with hops and a soft malt character. The BeerMongers will also be selling bottle conditioned 750 ml's of Logsdon's two offerings.
