Lolatoberfest Release Party Tuesday, Oct. 4th, 4pm The Lucky Labrador 1945 NW Quimby Street
LOLA will be celebrating the release of Lolatoberfest at the Lucky Lab Beer Hall (1945 NW Quimby) on Tuesday October 4th, 2011 starting at 4:00pm. Lolatoberfest is an Oktoberfest style beer made by LOLA members in collaboration with Ben Flerchinger of Lucky Lab Beer Hall. Due to the success of LOLA’s first beer, LOLA Kolsh at the, “Lab,” and their second brew, a Hibiscus IPA at Coalition Brewing, the ladies were invited once again to brew with Flerchinger. From developing the recipe, through the brewing process and kegging, LOLA members were not only involved, but did every brewing task along the way. This event is open to the public and there is no admission fee. LOLA hopes to see you there.
ADDED BONUS: The annual Lucky Lab Hop Harvest, where people bring their home grown hop bines and the donations are brewed into The Mutt, yielded over 200lbs of hops this year. Even the Governor of Oregon participated in 2011! The Mutt, an English Bitter this year will be the first fresh hop offering. Because of the generosity and hard work of the community, a second fresh hop beer was brewed, named Reaperweizen. Since unknown, multiple fresh hops are used, only the Lab brewers would take it a step further and use multi-grains to create a unique beer. Both 2011 fresh hop beers will also debut on 10/4.
